Zachary R. Mider grew up in Newark Valley, N.Y., and came to The Providence Journal in March 2002 after a stint at the Journal-Inquirer in Manchester, Conn. He is a two-year reporting intern who has covered East Greenwich, West Warwick and the graffiti beat.
