Meaghan Wims joined The Providence Journal in June 2002 as a two-year reporter in the West Bay bureau. She covers Coventry and West Greenwich, two wacky rural towns in western Rhode Island. Originally from Rumford, R.I., Meaghan graduated from the University of Rhode Island in May 2002 with degrees in political science and journalism. Before joining The Journal, she worked for the URI student newspaper, The Associated Press, the Newport Daily News, the Providence Phoenix, the Pawtucket Times and the environmental office at the Rhode Island State House. |
