Michael P. McKinney joined The Providence Journal in November 2002. He works in the Massachusetts bureau, covering the border town of Seekonk. He worked previously as the state Capitol reporter in Hartford for The News-Times of Danbury, Conn., a daily where he spent more than three years. Mike also worked for The Inquirer & Mirror, the weekly covering Nantucket, Mass., and for The Ridgefield Press, a weekly in southwestern Connecticut. Mike grew up in Wilton, Conn., and graduated from Connecticut College in 1996.
