Mark Arsenault joined the Providence Journal in April, 1998. He has worked in the newspaper's bureaus in South County, Newport and West Bay. Previously, he worked for several daily papers in Massachusetts, most recently the Lowell Sun. Nobody outside the newspaper business ever wanted to hire him.

       Arsenault has been a paper boy, a newspaper ``section stuffer,'' a delivery truck driver, a paste-up artist and -- for the past 10 years -- a reporter. Someday he might go back to school to take his first journalism class.
