| Gerald S. Goldstein, 57, has spent his 35-year career covering and editing the news in the shorefront communities of southern Rhode Island. A graduate of the journalism program at the University of Rhode Island, he was editor of the weekly Narragansett Times before joining the Journal-Bulletin in 1976; he is a regional editor responsible for the daily report in 10 communities. He also writes a weekly column that was voted the state's best suburban column in 1986, '89, '93 and '96. He has won numerous regional and national awards for investigative journalism and feature writing. |
