Elliot Krieger
       Elliot Krieger, the chairman of the Journal-Bulletin Writing Committee, is a reporter specializing in public journalism. For the past year, he has been part of a team of reporters writing Teaching Matters, a series of stories about the state's public schools. He came to the Journal-Bulletin in 1979, and he has worked as a suburban bureau chief, the books editor and the editor of the Sunday magazine. In addition to his newspaper work, he is the author of a widely anthologized book on Shakespeare's comedies. He has published fiction in numerous literary magazines, and one of his short stories won an O. Henry Award.
