Amanda Milkovits is the Providence police and fire reporter for The Providence Journal. She had previously served as The Journal's Massachusetts bureau manager. She joined The Journal in July 2000, after working for daily and weekly newspapers in New Hampshire for seven years. She has won several state and regional awards for investigative and feature writing.
