Bazaar: Emanuel Lutheran Church, 9 New London Ave., will hold a Christmas bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be crafts, a white-elephant table, decorated live wreaths, baked goods, and raffles. Breakfast and lunch will be available.

W. Warwick forced to delay tree ritual
WEST WARWICK — Heavy rains on Thanksgiving Day forced the annual town tree lighting in Phenix Square to be rescheduled for tomorrow.

Schools braced for tackling ’08 budget
WEST WARWICK — School Committee Chairman Daniel T. Burns Jr. acknowledges this will be a tough budget season for the School Department, and he says he hopes to ease the challenge by getting more people involved with the process earlier.

Correction
Edward A. Giroux, who was sworn in Monday as the president of the West Warwick Town Council, holds the Ward 3 seat on the council. The ward was incorrect in a story Tuesday.
