Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Fairbairn

Melissa Gerardi, daughter of Mario and Giulia Gerardi of Cranston, and Christopher Fairbairn, son of Francesann Fairbairn of Southbury, Conn., and Charles John Fairbairn of Simsbury, Conn., were married Aug. 10 at the Auberge Du Soleil Resort in Napa Valley, Calif., by the Rev. Gerald Caprio.

Diana G. Scorpio, sister of the bride, was the maid of honor. Justin Lynch was the best man and Stephen Scorpio was the usher.

The bride graduated from Cranston High School West, the University of Rhode Island and Cornell University Medical Center in New York, where she graduated as a surgical physician assistant. She is employed at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions in Baltimore.

The groom graduated from Pomperaug High School in Southbury and Central Connecticut State University in New Britain. He is employed at the Pepsi Bottling Group in Washington, D.C.

The couple honeymooned in Tuscany. They live in Columbia, Md.
