Jill Oliveira Roosa of Jamestown and Commodore Charles H. Townsend of Manhattan were married Oct. 4 aboard the Commodore’s yacht, Current Issue. Justice of the Peace Richard D’Addario officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Joseph J. Oliveira of Jamestown and Gail P. Altmeyer of Rumford. The groom is the son of John C. Townsend of Vero Beach, Fla., and the late Ann Howland Townsend.

Christina Townsend Jones and Kathryn Townsend Simpson, daughters of the groom, and Hope C. Roosa, daughter of the bride, were bridesmaids. Luke V. Roosa, son of the bride, was the ring bearer.

The bride is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island and is the former executive director of the Roosa Family Foundation. The groom is a graduate of the University of Michigan and is the chief executive officer and president of Conde Nast Publications, New York City. He is the commodore of the New York Yacht Club. They honeymooned in Little Palm Island, Little Torch Key, Florida Keys, and make their home in Middletown and Manhattan.
