Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Saunders Jr.

The Regatta Place, Goat Island Marina, Newport, was the setting of the wedding on July 20 of Jennifer Lynn Nunes and Richard Allen Saunders Jr. The Rev. Robert W. Anthony performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Nunes Sr. of East Greenwich. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Saunders Sr. of Charlestown.

Sara Bynum was the matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Danielle Ellsworth, Megan Perrino, Samantha Short, sister of the groom, and Alexandra Tucker. Flower girls were Anne and Elinor Short, nieces of the groom.

Kyle Bass was the best man. Ushers were Nicholas Foley, Joseph Nunes Jr., brother of the bride, Geoffrey Short and Stephen Warriner. Andrew Short, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer.

The bride graduated from Chariho High School and attended the Community College of Rhode Island. She is employed at Perspectives Corporation in North Kingstown. The groom, who is self-employed, graduated from Chariho High School.

The couple, who live in Charlestown, honeymooned in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands.
