Mr. and Mrs. Philip J. Braga

Marisa Melo Leal and Philip John Braga were married Sept. 8 at Our Lady of the Rosary Church in Providence. The Rev. Joseph Escobar officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Leal of East Providence. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. João Braga of East Providence. Helena Aguiar, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor and Rebecca Amaral and Eliana Vieira were junior bridesmaids. Sonia Aguiar was the flower girl. Michael Braga Sr., brother of the groom, was the best man and Frankie Aguiar, Michael Braga Jr., Nathan Pimental and Nicholas Medeiros were junior ushers. Alex Aguiar and Collin Braga were ring bearers.

The groom is a graduate of East Providence High School and is employed at University Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Pawtucket. The groom is a graduate of Johnson & Wales University and is employed by Electrical Maintenance & Control, Inc., Cranston.

They honeymooned on a Hawaiian cruise and make their home in East Providence.
