Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Castonguay
Sharon Elaine Belden of Rye, N.Y., and Thomas Castonguay of Rye were married July 19 in St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Portsmouth by the Rev. Pamela Mott. The bride is the daughter of Jeffrey and Diane Belden of Portsmouth. The groom is the son of Camille and Rollande Castonguay of Bristol, Conn.
Amy Wilson Cahillane was the matron of honor. Amanda Belden was bridesmaid. The best man was Jeremy Castonguay, brother of the groom. Jason Castonguay, brother of the groom, Keith Belden, brother of the bride, and Steven Franco were ushers. The ring bearer was Maxwell Cahillane.
The bride is a graduate of Smith College in Northampton, Mass., the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and received an Ed.D. in human development and psychology from Harvard University in Cambridge, Mass. She is a career counselor in private practice in Rye. The groom is a graduate of Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, Conn., and received a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of Vermont in Burlington. He is an assistant professor at Iona College in New Rochelle, N.Y.
The couple visited the eastern shore of Virginia on their honeymoon and make their home in Rye.
