Mr. and Mrs. John J. McNamara IV

Caroline Leigh Smithwick of Richmond, Va., and John Joseph McNamara IV of Richmond were married April 5 in Richmond by the Rev. Ronald Brassard. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin B. Smithwick of Newport News, Va. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John J. McNamara III of West Warwick.

Ryan Chrisman was the maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Melissa McNamara, sister of the groom, Camp Kramer, Whitney Allen and Emily Lassiter. Patrick McNamara was best man for his brother. The ushers were Daniel McDonough, Stephen Kramer, Marco Ciccone, Jay Burkholder, Justin Richardson and Jerry Desiderato.

The bride is a graduate of Denbigh High School in Newport News and James Madison University and is a contracting specialist for Southern Health Services in Richmond. The groom is a graduate of Cranston High School West and James Madison University and is attending the University of Richmond. He is employed in real estate acquisition at Carmax Corporate Headquarters in Richmond.

The couple honeymooned in Costa Rica and make their home in Richmond.
