Mr. & Mrs. Michael P. Agren

St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Newport, was the setting Sept. 16 for the wedding of Ashley Elizabeth Griffin and Michael Paul Agren. The Rev. John Nichols officiated. The bride is the daughter of Janet and Robert Griffin Jr. of Middletown. She is the granddaughter of William and Helen Quigley and Robert and Kathleen Griffin of Middletown. The groom is the son of Paul and Kathleen Agren of Rumford, and the grandson of Lillian Agren of Rumford.

Melissa Moran was the matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Katie Griffin, Brittany Griffin, Meghan Smith, Rebecca Silveira, Alistair McNamara, Rhea Moisiades, Erica Agren and Tracy Agren. The flower girls were Madison Smith and Eilish Smith. The best man was Joshua Agren. The ushers were Earl Berwick, Todd Capwell, Michael Silveira, Thomas Silveira, Andrew Pascoe, Caleb Cabral, Ray Musumeci and Geraldo Perez. The ring bearer was Christian Polofsky.

The bride graduated from Middletown High School and Rhode Island College. She is employed at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence. The groom graduated from East Providence High School and the Community College of Rhode Island and attends Ellis College of New York Institute of Technology. He is employed at Lifespan Corp., Providence. They honeymooned in Hawaii and make their home in Warwick.
