THE SCOUTING REPORT

NEW HAMPSHIRE (3-3): Wildcats appear to be a team on the rise. Coach Bill Herrion has a young team that includes four freshmen and six sophomores. . . The team lacks size and relies heavily on the 3-point shot. It was 12th in the country in 3-pointers made last year, at nearly 10 per game, and is on the same pace this season. Gibbs is at 46 percent (18-for-39) behind the arc. . . The team has won its last two, over Colgate and Brown. Losses have been to Harvard, Penn State and Marist. . . Despite small size, the Wildcats are outrebounding opponents, 34-32. . . . Conley had 22 points and Gibbs 17 in the game at the Ryan Center last season.

URI (6-3): After a hectic start that saw the Rams play nine games in 22 days, the pace slows. The team will play four times in the next 22 days, which includes a break for exams. . . Baron is 32-for-60 on 3-pointers. The rest of the team is a combined 27-for-82. . . Seawright is up to 908 points for his career. He has 674 rebounds. He needs 35 more boards to catch Sly Williams and move into the top 10 on the school’s all-time rebounding list. He also has 11 blocked shots, giving him 87 for his career, sixth best in school history. . . The Rams have 114 turnovers. They have forced 119.
