SOUTH KINGSTOWN -- URI will not release the basketball team’s nonconference schedule until it is complete, but there could be some noteworthy opponents this season.

They begin with perhaps the biggest name in college basketball: Duke.

Several Internet reports have said the Rams will play at Cameron Indoor Arena in November. URI officials have said only that the school is speaking with an ACC team, but that nothing has yet been finalized.

Equally noteworthy, the Rams reportedly are talking with Georgetown about not just a one-game agreement, but a potential a home-and-home.
