Krisily Kennedy may not have been the final choice of TV's The Bachelo
r in this year's finale. But the Rhode Islander handled her televised
rejection with the style and grace of a winner. See what she had to say
in our June 16, 2005, online chat about her experiences and her future
plans. Thanks to all who participated!
Krisily Kennedy typing in responses during the online chat today.
BER: You did a great job and handled yourself with style and
grace when you were not chosen. Would you consider being the next
Bachelorette? If not, why? If so, why? You've had the experience ...then
you could be "in control" of your own situation.
Krisily Kennedy: Thank You so much for your support. It has been
brought up, doing the bachelorette, but at this point I would have to
say no. For one, I am not sure I am ready to leave my friends and family
for another four months, and two I have recently started a new
relationship with my best friend and it is going great.
creepieguy: You handled it with class. Not getting chosen was a
blessing it would have ended your carreer. Your 25 live your life, keep
your feet on the ground, love will find you sooner or later.
Jizack: Hello, I worked with you at Mardi Gras. I was the DJ
taking over for Steve for awhile. You were great on the Bachelor. I
would have never rejected you. Jack
firejim99: Krisily where did you or currently work ?? Was it at
Mardi Gras???
bonjovi: Hi Krisily,
Krisily Kennedy: Thank you so much for watching every week. It
feels great to get support even after the show is over.Charlie was
great, he was definitely a guy I could be friends with but probably not
anything long term. I have kept in touch with a few girls but I have
spoken to Sara B the most. She and Charlie are doing great.
iansoxfaninr: Krisily, congrats on the impressive dignity and
personal growth you displayed during the show. You did Rhode Island
proud! What are your plans for the future, and have you been deluged
with requests for dates after your national exposure? Also, why no
mention of your previous work on Sox broadcasts? Good luck!!
country: what did you do with the bracelet that the bachlor gave
you?
sweetness34: Dear Krisily, just wondering if you've started
dating again ? And if so any 1 serious @ this time?
joyus: Hi Krissily!
gudoeno: What has life been like since you've been back? How did
your father who wasent shown on t.v, feel about you doing a reality show?
Trisha: Is there anything you regret not doing or doing during
the show?
mummy: Now that you are back home are you taking good care of
harley and cleaning your room.
beth: How did the other women competing treat you? We can only
imagine, but I'd bet it could get pretty nasty toward the end.
jennie71379: Hey Krisily!! I don't know if you'll remember me but
this is Jen Palazzo from CJCR! Remember me? I just wanted to let you
know that over the last few years at least, I've been so excited to hear
what you've been up to-Miss RI and then The Batchelor?! I always thought
you were a big sweetheart and I wanted to see how you were doing!
beej2333: Are you more careful now when dating after your
experience on "The Bachelor"?
Krisily Kennedy: My expectations are definitely a lot higher. I
will not settle anymore.
beej2333: What do you look in a guy when dating?
Belinda: Do you still keep contact with any of the girls from the
show. And is the show exactly what we see or are you told what to do or
say?
john: Krisily, Hi my wife and I enjoyed watching you on the
batchelor...We also enjoy watching you on THE RIDE. Now that you have
your motorcycle license, when will you be riding your own
Harley-Davidson. Good Luck. John-
KATHY M.: given the track record of reality show romances ,what
do you think that the future will hold for charlie & sarah ?
Call Me Mama: Has being a participant on The Bachelor changed
your point of view on what is important in life?
smitty9: what happened to the NESN gig?
mike87: I was wondering what your future plans are?
lida: do you want to be a star?
dancer: Has your family recuperated from all the hoopla???
lida: Were you relieved that you didn't win?
LindaM: Hi Krisily. Will you and Charlie keep in touch? Do you
think he will make it with Sarah?
mikec: Hi Krisily- were you on the Red Sox pre-game show last
year? If so, how come you are not still there??
wizzle71: So being that you were on the bachelor, have a lot of
guys come into Mardi Gras and asked you on Dates?
Nanasfriends: We think you were great! We are extremely proud of
you. And we think you handled yourself very well on the last show. We
all think that you looked beautiful and classy!
Jbaby: Hi Kris, as a member of your family , I just want you to
know how proud we are of you. Love you.....
bmm13289: Hi Krisily, First i would like to say that you did an
amazing job on the final show. I have to ask did you have a feeling he
was going to pick Sara? Also I met you quite awhile ago when you went to
school with my brother Chuck! Best of luck to you, Barbara
Carol: Hi Krisily,
gdma: Hey Kris As a good friend of yours and a former fellow
co-worker cheryl and I woulld like to say we were so proud of you and
were happy to have you back home. Greg
Sweetpea: Hi Krisily! I wish the best for you and your future.
You did a great job! I hope you find someone that really loves you for
who you are and not because you are somewhat a celebrity.
Terry B: Krisily, you actually did my make-up for my friend
Missy's wedding (you used to work w/her)- anyway, I couldn't believe it
was you on The Bachelor. I was channel surfing one night & saw you & I
thought you looked so familiar- and sure enough it was a native Rhode
Islander on the show! You seemed to be completely yourself (not like
that other girl, Sarah) and you took the rejection A LOT better than I
would- for sure! Hopefully the publicity will get you in "the business"
& I wish you all the success.
happenings: hi krisily, i was very proud of how you represented
r.i. on the show. you spoke well and seem very intelligent as well as
fun......have you been approached to be the bachelorette on your own
show like trista?
Krisily Kennedy: It has been mentioned but it is not something I
am interested in doing.
motleyfan: Were you in the show for fame or for love?
Courtney: Have you always lived in Warwick, RI?
AndreaPanciera: Krisily -- I noticed you are no longer blonde.
Did you change your hair color so folks wouldn't recognize you?
AndreaPanciera: Any last questions for Krisily? She will be
heading out shortly. Thanks for all your questions.
Courtney: Was this your first Gaspee Days Parade - how did you
like it?
LindaM: I heard through the grapevine that you knew that Charlie
was going to pick Sarah before the final show aired. Is this true?
Krisily Kennedy: No, I wish I did. It would have made my life so
much easier. I had a gut feeling but that was it.
AndreaPanciera: Thanks everyone for your questions. Krisily was
pleasantly surprised by everyone's input. Thanks again.
Krisily Kennedy: Thanks for your support. You're right not getting
chosen was a blessing because Love has found me and has been very
gracious.
Krisily Kennedy: Thank you
for watching and supporting me, we have all been dumped in life i just
happened to get dumped on live television. It wasn't bad.
Krisily Kennedy: I was working at my cousin's
hair salon. I have worked at Mardi Gras (a nightclub in Cranston) for
three years and still work there every weekend.
I watched the show faithfully and I was
just wondering if Charlie is as nice as he seemed on tv. He seems like a
perfect gentleman and a fun guy. Also, did you meet anyone who you'll
stay in touch with? While watching each week, I have to say I think that
you were the most down-to-earth person and it was Charlie's loss. I'm
also from the same area as you are and my daughter and I got a kick out
of the fact that you're from Warwick too!
Take Care,
Donna
Krisily Kennedy: Thank you so much. I did grow up a lot while we
were filming and it made it all worth it. I honestly have not been asked
on to many dates but I am not looking either. My best friend and I have
recently started dating and he is the most amazing man in RI. We are
moving to LA together in hopefully september so I can persue my career.
I hope to be on TV a little more frequently. The Sox was great but they
probably didn't get the OK from NESN to talk about it. Either that or it
could have been a network thing, who knows with those crazy television
shows. Keep watching for me.
Krisily Kennedy: Well, I have not worn it. I have saved
it in a box full of memories. I think it is better there than on my
wrist.
Krisily Kennedy
: Yes. I have started dating again. My best friend, Paul ,and I have started
dating, and it has been wonderful. We have been friends for three years
so he knows me very well and has been extremely supportive of me thru
everything. I would say it is pretty serious. Wish us luck!
I'm still shocked you weren't picked, but
better things are coming for you.
I want to know if you have an agent
yet and if so who it is. And as a "Waw-wick" girl do you find being from
a small state is beneficial in these reality shows?
Best of luck in
your future!
Kris
Krisily Kennedy: While I was in LA I did
look for agents but did not sign any contracts. I have a few people
looking for work for me but no definites yet. I think being from a small
state definitely helps you be more aggressive on these shows, but if
Charlie didn' t like me, it wouldn't have mattered where I was from.
Krisily Kennedy: Life has been very hectic since I have been home, but
fun. People recognize me and feel like they have known me forever. It is
great. My father was exrtremely supportive of me doing the show. The
only reason he was not included was because of the producers, they had
total control of everything. I had no clue who I would see when I came
home to RI.
Krisily Kennedy: No, I do not have any regrets about
the show. I feel I was portrayed exactly as I am and had so much fun. I
actually grew up a lot while I was there .
Krisily Kennedy: Yes my puppy
Harley is well taken care of and my room is clean for the first time
since October. But thanks to my mom and bob, she was cared for while I
was away, too.
Krisily Kennedy: Actually the girls were great they sometimes made
my day easier. The only problems I really had were with Sara W. Other
than that most of the girls I hope to keep in touch with.
Krisily Kennedy: Hi jennie, Thanks for keeping up with my crazy
life. I have been very blessed with the opportunities I have been given
in the past couple of years. Keep watching hopefully there is alot more
to come.
Krisily
Kennedy: Well that is a tough one. I want honesty, respect.
sincerity and unconditional love. It is so important to love to laugh
and have fun. And of course it is important to be attracted to one
another.
Krisily Kennedy: Yes I have spoken to a few of the girls
since the show has ended. And yes what you see is definitely what we
saw. ABC did a great job of portraying us the way we were good or bad.
Krisily Kennedy: John,
Thanks for watching every week. If I win the lottery I will get my own
harley and be riding really soon. But if not I will be just watching
everyone else RIDE by.
Krisily Kennedy: Well, so far so good. I have spoken to sara a
couple of times and she is still so much in love. I wish them so much
luck, they are two amazing people. I think they will be jusr fine!!
Krisily Kennedy
: Absolutely, I have grown up so much the thing that may have seemed
important before have definitely been put in prospective.
Krisily Kennedy
: It was only for one season. But I hear they might want to interview me
this season, wouldn't that be great !
Krisily
Kennedy: Moving to LA in hopefully September to pursue my career on
television.
Krisily Kennedy: A
star? Well I do want a steady career in TV. I would like to be a
household name and get a paycheck every week so I can live comfortably
and not struggle anymore. So if that is your deffinition of a star than,
yes, sign me up!
Krisily Kennedy: My family is doing great, they are so excited
still. We had so much fun and it is something we all will never forget.
Krisily Kennedy
Well I guess a little. I knew when he was breaking up with me I would be OK
because my heart did not belong to Charlie and his heart did not belong
to me either. I won in the long run, I found my prince charming right at
home.
Krisily Kennedy: I don't
think Charlie and I will keep in touch but sara and I definitely! I
think will do great.
Krisily Kennedy
: Yes, I was on the pre game show last year. I guess they wanted
someone new this season, who knows, maybe they will ask me back?
Krisily Kennedy
: Nope, maybe I send off the I'm taken vibe?
Krisily Kennedy
: Thank you so much I have a classy family, I have learned from the
best!
Krisily Kennedy:
Thanks Auntie Jill, You guys have been so supportive of me thru
everything. I can't thank you enough!!
Krisily
Kennedy: Thanks for your support. I did have a feeling but thats all
it was. I had no concrete evidence, just a gut feeling. You know how it
is if a guy doesn't call for a week it usually means he is no longer
interested.
I thought you were great on the show. How
is your grandmother and are you sorry you did not take her advice?
Krisily Kennedy: Nana is great and I have no regrets at all with
the show !
Krisily Kennedy: Greg,
you guys are the best and I will get better at keeping in touch I
promise. Good luck with the baby and thanks for all of your support!
Krisily
Kennedy: Thanks and I have. My best friend who has been there even
before I was on TV. Wish me luck.
Krisily Kennedy: Thanks
terry I hope it does too. If not I will be moving a long way from home
to see landslides!
Krisily Kennedy: A little of both why not kill two birds with one
stone right?
Krisily
Kennedy: No I used to live in Cranston, RI
Krisily Kennedy: No, I wanted to go back to my roots. Blondes are
over-rated. I have more fun as a brunnette!
Krisily Kennedy: Actually I was in the Gaspee Parade
two years ago. I try to go every year but it is sometimes hard for me to
get up that early after bartending the night before.
