Trading Spaces features Cranston neighbors tonight
01:00 AM EST on Saturday, January 20, 2007
Trading Spaces, the home-decorating reality show, will air an episode shot in Cranston tonight at 10 on The Learning Channel. (It will be repeated tomorrow at 1 a.m.) In the show, neighbors get to decorate a room in each other’s houses, with the help of designers and carpenters from Trading Spaces.
Sometimes, the homeowners are delighted with the results. Other times . . . not so much.
Tonight’s episode focuses on two sets of neighbors — Marc Lovely and Scott Jaworski and Thom Hammond and Tony Lanciano — on Lyndon Road in Cranston.
Jaworski said the four applied to Trading Spaces after seeing a small notice in The Providence Journal. He said he’s a designer himself, and he had already redone every room in his house except one.
“We thought it would be fun to get someone else’s perspective,” he said. “I knew if I hated it, we could fix it, and I’d have a good story to tell.”
The episode was shot in August. Jaworski said he was happy with the results, so changes weren’t necessary.
