The race is on . . .
01:00 AM EDT on Sunday, June 29, 2008
Sometime this week — perhaps as early as tomorrow, perhaps not; it depends on the weather — the 2008 Maine Windjammer Fleet’s Great Schooner Race will be held. A one-day race across Boothbay Harbor involving some two-dozen sailing vessels, it’s the largest annual gathering of tall ships, and it’s all about having fun. Paying passengers get to take the helm, and toss marshmallows at any passing competitor. See www.imakenews.com
