Broadway producer to speak at URI

Award-winning Broadway producer Stewart F. Lane speaks today at 12:30 to a class of theater students at the University of Rhode Island. Lane, who is a four-time Tony Award winner for such shows as Legally Blonde The Musical and La Cage Aux Folles, will be talking about theater production in J Studio in the Fine Arts complex. The talk is free and open to the public.
Lane is president and chief executive officer of Stellar Productions International and Stewart F. Lane Productions. He is also the recipient of two Drama Desk Awards, a Drama Critics Circle Award and an Outer Circle Critics Award, and is the author of Let’s Put on a Show. He is the co-owner and operator of the Palace Theatre in New York City.
