01:00 AM EDT on Friday, June 5, 2009
Tickets go on sale Monday for Young Frankenstein, the new Mel Brooks musical that opens its national tour at the Providence Performing Arts Center in September.
Tickets, priced between $48 and $78, are available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the box office, 220 Weybosset St., or they can be purchased on line at www.ppacri.org. Call (401) 421-2787.
Young Frankenstein is based on Brook’s 1974 film, in which New York surgeon Frederick Frankenstein inherits his grandfather’s castle and laboratory in Transylvania and sets up shop there. The show, which opened on Broadway in 2007, launches its national tour at PPAC Sept. 29-Oct. 4.
