Kobe's response to Schilling: Go Yankees!
07:54 AM EDT on Thursday, June 12, 2008
LOS ANGELES -- The Red Sox have an all-encompassing impact in the sports world and Curt Schilling's unfavorable musings about Kobe Bryant's treatment of his teammates in Game Two was still gaining reaction yesterday.
Schilling and his family had front-row seats that adjoined the Lakers' bench and he apparently was so shocked by Bryant's use of foul language toward his cohorts that he wrote about the behavior on his blog.
Not only was Schilling labeled a "jerk-of-all-trades" by a Los Angeles Times columnist for his basketball writings on his blog, but Bryant answered a question about Schilling with the line of the day.
"You're asking for my response to it? Go Yankees!" said Bryant. "I mean, I know my team. After the timeout with all those (curse words), we almost pulled off one of the greatest comebacks in history. It seemed to motivate them pretty well."
