EAST HARTFORD, Conn. — Rhode Island will be looking for its first victory in seven years Saturday night (June 27) when 55 of the state's top senior football players travel to Renteschler Field in East Hartford, Conn., for the 11th annual Connecticut-Rhode Island Senior High School Football All-Star Game.

The award is special because the only way a team can be selected is if it is nominated by either an opposing coach or a game official. Coaches cannot nominate their own teams, fans can’t vote for their favorite team. The nominations must come from people who are not cheering for a team, but are watching the way the team plays the game.
