09:46 PM EDT on Sunday, October 5, 2008
FOXBORO (AP) - Steve Ralston and Taylor Twellman each scored a goal in a 2-minute stretch to help the New England Revolution salvage a 2-2 tie with Real Salt Lake on Saturday night.
Javier Morales scored the first goal 13 minutes into the game and assisted in Andy Williams's goal in the 73rd minute to give Real Salt Lake (9-10-8) a 2-0 lead.
Ralston, however, helped the struggling Revolution reduce the deficit when he scored 4 minutes later. Twellman tied the game with a 79th-minute goal.
New England (12-8-7) suffered a 2-1 road loss against Real on June 21 in the teams' only other matchup this year.
