| 4/5/96: Earley sees his Veterans Administration doctor, Normand L. Decelles. The two always have lively discussions; where they never agree is on Earley's wishes for a physician-assisted suicide. Apart from the legal prohibition, Decelles says that the VA forbids such an act. 'Normand Decelles, M.D.,' quips Earley, 'and the M.D. for me stands for Major Disappointment.' [back to story] |
