CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. -- Personal property of suspended NASCAR driver Jeremy Mayfield will go on the auction block later this month.

A ranch home, construction equipment, trucks and racing equipment are among the items for sale.

Mayfield has been embroiled in controversy since NASCAR suspended him for allegedly testing positive for methamphetamines.

Earlier this week, Mayfield's attorney -- Bill Diehl -- said he hadn't been paid for his work on Mayfield's case.

NASCAR reported that Mayfield made $1.5 million in 2005. This year, he made $500,000.

The auction is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 20.
