Leading scorer Josh Carter is questionable for Texas A&M's opening game Wednesday against Texas Tech in the Big 12 Men's Basketball Championship, coach Mark Turgeon said.

Carter, a Lake Highlands product, was wearing a protective walking boot on his left foot after suffering an ankle injury Saturday against Missouri. Turgeon said Carter will probably be a game-time decision.

"The good thing is we don't play until 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday night, so he has a lot of time recover," Turgeon said. "We won't jeopardize him in any way for this game. Knowing Josh, he'll be ready to play."
