Holiday Giving: Donations sought to help needy

If your nonprofit organization is seeking holiday donations or volunteers, or if it has services or goods to offer the needy, we will publish your announcement once during this holiday season. A complete list of holiday giving and donations will be posted on our Web site, projo.com.

THANKSGIVING
Camp Street Community Ministries
This group seeks fresh or frozen turkeys and all the fixings for Thanksgiving food baskets for those in need. Donations should be dropped off by Nov. 20 at 194 Camp St., Providence. Call (401) 421-5474.
CDF Joan’s Holiday Basket Program
Pawtucket’s First Lady Joan Doyle seeks financial donations for a holiday food drive. Make checks payable to CDF Joan’s Holiday Basket Program and send them c/o Department of Planning and Redevelopment, 175 Main St., 3rd Floor, Pawtucket 02860.
Capital City Community Centers
This multi-service center seeks cash donations, grocery gift cards and Thanksgiving food items for local families in need. Drop off donations at 110 Ruggles St., Providence. Call (401) 455-3880, ext. 226.
Child and Family

Exeter Community Food Bank

Helping Other People in Emergencies

Lucy’s Hearth
This homeless shelter for women and their children seeks donations of nonperishable food and turkey vouchers for Thanksgiving. Mail them to 913 West Main Rd., Middletown, 02842 or deliver them on Nov. 16-18. Call (401) 847-2021.
Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center Holiday Basket Program
The center at 20 Dr. Marcus F. Wheatland Blvd., Newport, seeks donations for holiday food baskets. Call Jane Maloney at (401) 846-4828.

WHERE TO GO FOR HELP
Buy Nothing Day Winter Coat Exchange
On Friday, Nov. 27, those in need of winter coats will be able to get them on the State House lawn, at the Blackstone Valley Visitors Center, 175 Main St., Pawtucket and St. Ann’s Arts and Cultural Center, 84 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. In addition, coats will be distributed at St. Paul’s Church, 12 West Marlborough St., Newport, from 9:30 a.m. to noon and at St. Francis Church, 114 High St., South Kingstown, from 10 a.m. to noon.
