Introduction to Karate, Rocky Hill School, 530 Ives Rd., East Greenwich. 884-9070; www.rockyhill.org. Designed to familiarize children with Kempo Karate. Students taught beginner techniques including blocking, kicking and striking. Ages 9-12 will focus on mat work for tournament sparring. Arts and crafts projects for ages 6-8 explore Japanese culture. Equipment provided. Day ends with a dip at Rocky Hill's waterfront. Ages 6-8: July 24-28, 9 am-noon. Ages 9-12: June 26-30, 9 am-noon. $165.
