CLIMBING 03.12.2006 Climbing Camps with Rhode Island Rock Gym, 100 Higginson Ave., Lincoln. 727-1704; www.rhodeislandrockgym.com. Five-day programs in air-conditioned facility with personal climbing instruction from professional staff. Base Camp: Climbing games, team-building initiatives. Learn basic knot tying and belaying skills while practicing bouldering and roped climbing. Some time spent bouldering at Lincoln Woods State Park. All climbing equipment provided. All ages welcome; ideal for 6- to 12-year-olds. June 26-30, July 17-21, July 24-28, July 31-Aug. 4, Aug. 7-11. Per week: Full day, 9 am-5 pm, $395; half day, 9 am-1 pm or 1 pm-5 pm, $225. NE Explorers: Explore local climbing areas (depending on group's skill level) such as Quincy Quarries, College Rock, Snake Den State Park, and Purgatory Chasm. All climbing equipment provided.
