Camp Broadway, a performing arts camp at the Providence Performing Arts Center, 220 Weybosset St., Providence, for ages 10-17. Rhode Island School of Design Summer Vacation Program. Two programs are offered at RISD's Tillinghast Farm campus in Barrington for ages 7-12. It's a Jungle Out There, a week-long program running June 21-25 and Aug. 16-20; and Yo Ho Ho: Adventures on the High Seas, offered as a two-week program from June 28-July 9 or as a one-week program from July 12-16. For ages 6-15, only 6 students per class. $365 per week, multiple weeks discount. Materials included. Activities include: fish and shell printing at an oceanfront cottage, glass and china painting, painting and petting at a horse farm, puppet making incorporated into a puppet show, paper making from flowers found on nature walk, kite making.

Whiz Kids Film Camp, a free week-long filmmaking class for students in grades 6-9 at the Rochambeau Library, 708 Hope St., Providence. 455-8198. Sponsored by the Providence Public Library with an additional grant from the R.I. Foundation, this class will cover pre- and post-production skills such as storyboards, costuming, scene selection, editing and special effects. Each student will participate in the creation of a short film which will appear on the Providence Public Library's Web site.
