WARWICK — One of two victims of a home invasion Friday night remained in Rhode Island Hospital Saturday evening after being shot by a small-caliber handgun, according to Warwick police.
The two unidentified men — one in his 20s, the other in his 30s — were at 50 Vanderbilt Rd. around 8:30 p.m. when three masked men, one carrying the gun, forced their way into the single-family home.
The police said there was a fight and the two men were shot multiple times. Both were taken to the hospital to be treated for the torso wounds, which were not believed to be life-threatening, according to Detective Capt. Sean T. Collins.
The three intruders are still being sought, the police said last night, and the department said anyone with information should call Warwick detectives at (401) 468-4233.
