WARREN HOLIDAY NIGHTS: Every Thursday night between Thanksgiving and Christmas, shops all along Main Street and Water Street in Warren will be staying open until 8 p.m. Visitors can take advantage of the wonderful shops right in their area. CHRISTMAS BAZAAR: St. Mark’s Church, 16 School St., will hold its annual Christmas bazaar Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Some of the items featured this year are a 50/50 raffle, penny social table, religious table, a holiday boutique, baked goods, white elephant, lunch counter and more.

POLISH YOUTH CHOIR TO PERFORM: Father Shemek of St. Brendan’s Parish in Riverside will host the youth choir “Kanaan” from his home parish, St. Michael’s in Skarszewy, Poland at St. Mary of the Bay, Warren, Dec. 6 at 5:15 p.m. The choir will perform a concert in the parish center following the Mass. HOLIDAY HOURS: Imago Gallery, 16 Cutler St., will extend its hours this month so people have plenty of opportunity to view its Holiday Invitational exhibit. In addition to its regular hours Wednesday through Saturday from noon to 4 p.m., the gallery will be open Thursdays Dec. 4, 11 and 18 until 8 p.m. and Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 20 to 23 from noon to 4 p.m.

The exhibit features paintings, drawings, sculpture, photography, ceramics and mixed media pieces created by 12 member artists and 11 guest artists invited by members.

Artists whose work is on display include Jean Arthur, Eileen Collins, Leigh Craven, Lisa Elliott, David Gonville, Rose Esson- Dawson, Linda DiFrenna, Mary Dondero, David Clarke, Barnet Fain, Charles Francis, Derek Hambley, Betty Harrington, Kathy Kittell, Eileen Mayhew, Linda Megathlin, Jason Pacheco, Norm Petersen, Toni Petersen, Bob Rizzo, Lenny Rumpler, John Udvardy and Tony Woidyla.

RETREAT ON THE ROSARY: The Women’s Guild and Divine Mercy Prayer Cenacle of St. Mary of the Bay and St. Jean Baptiste will sponsor a retreat on the Rosary Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at St. Mary of the Bay Chapel, 645 Main St. Entitled “What Does the Rosary Have to Say to our Lives?” the retreat will be led by Sister Judith A. Costa and topics will include the History of the Rosary, Reflection on the Mysteries and Life Application. Light refreshments will be served during the break. The cost is a suggested donation of $5.

WELCOME HOME CEREMONY: A Certificate of Recognition and a formal “Welcome Home” will be presented to Specialist Brent Miranda by the Town Council, Sen. Walter Felag and Rep. Jan Malik at the Dec. 9 Town Council meeting at Warren Town Hall, Main Street. All veterans and veterans organizations, VIPs and families are encouraged to come and give this soldier a “Hero’s Welcome.”

In addition, the R. I. Chapter of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association will present certificates of appreciation to Felag, Malik and the Town Council for their continued support in honoring these veterans.
