FESTIVE CONCERT: Four Corners Arts Center will present “Flights of Fancy, Fantasy and Festivity,” with soprano Kate Grana accompanied by Kristine Langello, Dec. 5 at 8 p.m. at The Meeting House, 3850 Main Rd. WINTER CONCERT SERIES: The Greater Tiverton Community Chorus will present a concert Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Theresa Church, Stafford Road. The concert is part of the chorus’ winter concert series entitled “Classics for Christmas,” featuring Mozart’s Mass in C Major (“Coronation Mass”) with orchestra and soloists. The soloists are Joanne Arnold, soprano; Barbara Youmans, mezzo soprano; Fred Scheff, tenor; and Vaughn Bryner, bass. The program also includes works by Praetorius, Bach, Brahms and Beethoven, as well as traditional carols.

ANNUAL SALE: The knitting and quilting volunteers and members of the watercolor class at the Tiverton Senior Center will hold their annual sale Dec. 6 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the center, 207 Canonicus St.

Children’s and infant’s sweaters, hats, mittens and scarves and adult and children’s bibs, adult hats, mittens and scarves, various sized afghans and quilts, small and large dog bone pillows, American Girl doll clothes and other various items will be for sale. There will also be original prints and copies on sale.

All are welcome.

HOLIDAY OPEN STUDIO: Kris Donovan and Kelly Milukas, two popular Sakonnet artists, will open their studios to the public Dec. 6 and 7 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. This is a unique opportunity for the public to visit working artists’ studios. Both painters are members of the newly organized South Coast Artists, the group that has brought Open Studios to the Sakonnet area for the past five years.

Milukas’s Bow House Studio, 355 Neck Rd., Tiverton, will feature recent pastels and watercolors. Donovan’s new studio, 9 Francis Lane (north) in Little Compton, will include new works in pastel, oil, and watercolor. Refreshments will be served.

LATIN MASS: Holy Ghost Church, 316 Judson St., will hold a Novus Ordo Latin Mass Dec. 7 at noon. For information, visit HolyGhostCC.org or call (401) 624-8131.

BASKETBALL REGISTRATION: The Tiverton Junior Basketball League will hold final registration for the Senior Boys Division Dec. 7 from 6:45 to 7 p.m. Player evaluation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. This program is open to boys who will be age 14 or 15 as of Dec. 31 and who are residents of Tiverton or full time students in the Tiverton School System.

The registration fee is $65 for the season or $95 per family. Financial aid can be arranged by contacting League President Joe Perry, 624-3370.

CHRISTMAS ITEMS FOR SALE: Trinity Trader Thrift Shop, 1956 Main Rd., is now featuring an extensive line of Christmas items and clothing at reasonable prices. All proceeds are for the benefit of Holy Trinity Church. The shop is open Thursday and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

GENEALOGY WORKSHOP: The monthly meeting of the genealogy workshop offered by Tiverton Library Services will be held Dec. 11 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Beginning and advanced genealogists are invited to gather in the Essex Reference Room to use the library’s resources and on-line databases, and share their genealogical experiences and research. All workshop discussions will be led by Richard Joslin. This program, sponsored by the Friends of Tiverton Libraries is free and open to all. For information, call (401) 625-6796.
