Pool open: The Narragansett Parks and Recreation Department’s outdoor pool, at 170 Clarke Rd., Narragansett, is open for free use by town residents Monday through Friday for open swimming from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m., and an adult swim from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday the pool is open from noon to 5:30 p.m. For information, call 782-0658.
Yoga class: The summer’s last free yoga class meets from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at Casey Farm, on Boston Neck Road in Saunderstown, during the weekly Coastal Growers Market.
Participants should dress comfortably and bring water and a towel or yoga mat. No experience or registration is necessary. For information, e-mail Erin Barrette Goodman at eringoodman@cox.net.
Dance lessons: Dance lessons are conducted each Wednesday at The Towers, 35 Ocean Rd., Narragansett, with Swing and ballroom dancing from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by Latin dance at 7, beginners’ tango at 8, and intermediate tango at 9.
Admission is $12 for one lesson, and $4 for each additional class. For information, call 782-2597.
Sports leagues: The South Kingstown Parks and Recreation Department sponsors the following drop-in sports leagues, for adults, at the Peace Dale Elementary School:
Co-ed basketball, Monday and Wednesday, 8 to 9 p.m.; and over-35 basketball, Friday, 6 to 9 p.m.; and volleyball, Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. Over-35 games are also played Wednesday at Curtis Corner Middle School. The fee is 50 cents a game for basketball, $1 for volleyball.
A men’s basketball league plays Thursday and Sunday night at Old Mountain Field, on Kingstown Road in Wakefield.
