Bird walks: Mary Jo Murray and Phil Budlong lead free bird walks each Tuesday, leaving from the Charlestown Mini-Super, on Route 1A in Charlestown, at 8 a.m. For information, call 783-9191.
Through May, Fisherville Brook Wildlife Refuge, on Pardon Joslin Road in Exeter, will be the site of 8 a.m. bird walks each Friday, while West Kingston’s Marion Eppley Wildlife Sanctuary hosts bird walks each Thursday at 7:30 a.m. The fee is $5 for non-members of the Audubon Society; to register, call 949-5454.
Dog day: The Pawcatuck River Labrador Retriever Club will host a “Labrador Retriever Fun Day,” featuring handling classes, games and contests, demonstrations of agility and obedience, canine items, and an AKC-sanctioned “B” Match, Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Delmrya Kennels, 101 Ten Rod Rd., Exeter. Westminster Dog Show winner of Best of Breed, Champion Lobuff Hollyridge Kissadee, will also make a visit.
