The annual South County Hot Air Balloon Festival is scheduled for this weekend, with balloon displays, carnival rides, games, arts and crafts, entertainment and food at the University of Rhode Island athletic fields today through Sunday. John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band will be on stage tonight at 6:45.

The Flying Wallendas high-wire act will perform tonight at 6, tomorrow at 12:30, 3:30 and 6:30 p.m., and Sunday at 1, 4 and 7 p.m.

Tomorrow the festival will run from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sunday, 5:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tethered balloon rides, weather permitting, will be available tonight from 7 to 9, and tomorrow and Sunday at 5:30 a.m. and 6 p.m.
