Smithfield rescue workers transport an injured passenger from a mock auto accident to a waiting rescue van. The drill involving a drunken-driving collision was staged yesterday at Smithfield High School to raise student awareness of the consequences of driving drunk. At left, Carter Brague, a junior, pretends to be dead. Above, Mandy Cabral, also a junior, asks Deputy Chief Wayne Brown to help her injured friends. The staged accident was sponsored by the Police and Fire departments and the school’s SADD chapter.
