Camp: Smithfield YMCA is taking registrations for its preschool Little Sprouts camp for children ages 3 to 6. Three- and five-day options are available for: July 7-11: Holidays around the world; July 14-18, It’s a bugs life!; July 21-25, Disney Theater week; July 28 to Aug. 1, Super Sports; Aug. 4 to 8, Carnival week. Library Programs
East Smithfield Public Library, 50 Esmond St., will host a tattooing program for teens July 8 at 6:30 p.m. Practice the art of tattooing with temporary tattoos.
The library will host Marvelous Marvin July 9 at 2 p.m. The program is for children ages 3½ to 12.
Ronald McDonald will visit July 10 at 1 p.m. The program is for children ages 3½ to 12.
A program featuring Entomophagy with David Gracer, eating bugs for protein, will be held July 15 at 1 p.m.
A craft program for teens will be held July 15 at 6:30 p.m. Turn old books into old boxes or purses.
The library will host a blood drive July 17 from 3 to 7 p.m.
The Tuesday Night book club will meet July 22 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Greenville Public Library, 573 Putnam Pike, will host a summer pen pal program. Participants will be paired up with a person of a similar age and interest from another town. Complete an introductory letter form, available at the library. Forms must be returned by Saturday.
A bug scavenger hunt is scheduled Saturday at 11 a.m. Teens are invited to follow clues to help hunt down pesky critters. The first one to the end gets a special buggy prize.
Bedtime story time for children ages 3½ to 5½ on Mondays from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. Story time dates are July 7, 14, 21, 28 and Aug. 4.
Teens are invited to a MySpace safety workshop on Monday at 11 a.m.. This one-hour workshop will discuss the history of the site as well as what dangers can be avoided by those who use the site.
The library is looking for teens to assist with a variety of craft programs and other activities. Teen volunteers can use the time toward community service requirements. Teens are needed to help children during the following craft programs: Design a backpack, July 9 at 10:30 a.m.; spider pillows, July 23 at 10:30 a.m.; Wii Sports, Aug. 7 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; and Eww…Slime!, Aug. 13 at 10:30 a.m.
