CANDLELIGHT STROLL THROUGH THE VILLAGE: Stroll through Historic North Scituate Village, Route 116, Dec. 5 from 3 to 9 p.m. and Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Events for children include a craft program in the elementary school and family photos, live nativity and story telling at the library as well as pictures with Santa. Artisans and craftsmen will display their wares in Community Hall. Entertainers will include the Swamp Meadow Victorian Carolers, The Acappella Barbershop Chorus, the Fellowship Bell Ringers, and the Carolers of North Scituate Baptist Church. A free horse drawn wagon or trolley ride will be available for shoppers.

Breakfast with Santa will be held Dec. 6 from 8 to 11 a.m. Santa will also be available for pictures from 1 to 4:30 p.m. in the Community House, and at the Gazebo at dusk to light the Christmas tree.

MEETING SCHEDULED: The Skyscrapers will meet Dec. 6 at 7:30 p.m. at Scituate Community Center, Route 116. Kristine Larson from Central Connecticut State University will present “Eccentrics, Old Maids, and Just Plain Maids: The Pioneering Women Spectroscopist of Harvard”. CHRISTMAS TREE LIGHTING: The Hope Village Christmas Tree Lighting has been rescheduled, the new date is Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. The event will include music, refreshments, activities, and Santa will arrive by fire truck. Bring a canned food donation.

In case of inclement weather, visit Santa in the barn at Hope Pond on Ryefield Street from 4 to 6 p.m.
