Scituate Art Festival: The 41st annual Scituate Art Festival will be held during Columbus Day weekend, Oct. 11-13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the Village Green, Route 116. The festival will feature regional and ethnic foods, a raffle, musical entertainment, and over 200 artists and craftspeople.

Library Programs

Hope Library, 374 North Rd., will host preschool story hour for children ages 3 to 5 on Mondays, Oct. 20 and 27, at 10:30 a.m., and Tuesdays, Oct. 7, 21 and 28, at 2 p.m.

The library will hold a greeting card class. Learn new stamping techniques to make greeting cards. The class will be held Oct. 7 and 16 at 6:30 p.m. The fee is $10 and includes all supplies.

The library’s annual pumpkin decorating program for children in kindergarten to grade 5 will be held Oct. 17 at 3:15 p.m. Children are asked to bring a medium-size pumpkin.

Clubs/Organizations

Eagle High Court of Honor: On Oct. 24 Troop 44 Glocester will unite to celebrate and recognize seven of its members achieving Boy Scouting’s highest rank of Eagle Scout. Benjamin E. Boisclair, Jay T. Coutu, Paul Ryan Jalette, Kevin O’Keefe, Samuel Rubin, Daniel P. Sherman and Andrew C. Walsh have received this pinnacle in Scouting after spending more than 10 years in the local Cub Scout and Boy Scout organization. An Eagle Court of Honor will take place at Camp Aldersgate and will be attended by parents and members of the troop as well as local clergy, dignitaries and Boy Scouts of America Narragansett Council officials.
