Library Programs
Hope Library, 374 North Rd., will host “The Good, The Bad and the (B)ugly” reading group on Mondays — July 14, 21 and 28 — from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Children in grades three to five are invited to bring a lunch and share books. Juice and cookies will be served.
“Make & Take Tuesdays,” a drop-in craft program, will be held July 15, 22, and 29 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The library will host “Bugging Out!” an outdoor exploration of bugs and insects with Marvelous Marvin, July 17 at 6:30 p.m. The program is for children in grades K-5.
Children ages 2 to 5 are invited to a story and craft program, July 18 at 11 a.m.
A family game night will be held July 24 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. The program includes games, crafts, and snacks.

North Scituate Library, 606 West Greenville Rd., will host summer reading performances and storytellers Tuesdays at 7 p.m. The schedule is: Tuesday, Christopher “Kavi” Carbone, storyteller; and July 29, David Gracer, “Insects as Food!” Shows are free and open to the public. Norman Smith of North Scituate was inducted as president of the Scituate Rotary Club recently. Smith was one of 65 club presidents in Rotary District 7950 installed by Rotary International President D.K. Lee of South Korea.
