SOUTH COUNTY PRIMARY RACES AT A GLANCE

Here are South County primary-election races at a glance. The election is Tuesday.

• There will be a Democratic primary for South Kingstown Town Council, with six candidates seeking the party’s five places on the November ballot.

• In Narragansett, a nonpartisan Town Council primary will shave a field of 15 candidates to 10 for the 5 seats available in November.

• In North Kingstown, Democrats will hold a seven-way election for five spots on the Town Council ballot.

• In Richmond, Tracy Nelson Hay faces Helena M. Bowen for the Democratic nomination for town clerk. The winner will run against Republican Paul H. Michaud.

• In Senate District 35 (East Greenwich, Warwick, North Kingstown), Democratic incumbent J. Michael Lenihan faces a challenge from North Kingstown Town Councilman Steven Campo. The winner takes on Republican John A. Pagliarini Jr.

• In Senate District 36 (North Kingstown, Narragansett), Democratic incumbent James C. Sheehan has a challenger in Philip F. Fiore. The winner faces William J. Connelly.

• In House District 34 (Narragansett), Democratic incumbent David A. Caprio faces Ryan P. Drugan. There is no Republican or independent in the race.

• In House District 39 (Richmond, Exeter, Charlestown), four Democrats — former Rep. Rod Driver, Stephen D. Antoni, Larry Valencia and Paul E. Picerne — vie for the right to take on the winner of a race between Republicans David Hathaway and Joseph R. Arsenault.
