Arrests made at fair are announced

RICHMOND –– The Richmond police charged 28 people –– including the son of the Charlestown police chief and a Coventry councilman –– with various misdemeanors during the Washington County Fair.
A man was also arrested at the fair on an outstanding warrant.
Three more people received summonses during the five-day agricultural fair, held this year from Aug. 13-17. Those traffic stops happened outside the fairgrounds and it’s unclear if there is any connection to the fair.
Those charged at the fair:
• Edward F. and Donna D. Piombino, 46 and 44 respectively, of 538 Horse Pond Rd., Madison, Conn., were charged on Aug. 13 with public drinking after they were allegedly seen by police drinking beer and liquor;
• Richard Nottage, 39, of 8 Ewing Rd., North Kingstown was charged on Aug. 13 with possession of marijuana and public drinking after police allegedly saw him drinking beer.
• Michael Shaw, 18, of 90 Evergreen Drive, Exeter, was charged on Aug. 13 with disorderly conduct for allegedly urinating in public.
• Theresa Lavoie, 47, of 69 Niantic Trail, West Greenwich, was charged on Aug. 13 with public drinking.
• Justin Dussault, age 18, of 229 Breakheart Hill Rd., West Greenwich, was charged on Aug. 13 with possession of marijuana, public drinking, and possession of an alcoholic beverage by an underage person after police allegedly saw him drinking beer.
• Justin R. Anderson, 20, of 4 Hunters Lane, Richmond, was charged on Aug. 14 with public drinking, possession of an alcoholic beverage by an underage person and obstructing a police officer. Police allegedly saw him drinking beer and say that he later refused to be fingerprinted at the police station.
• Brian J. Sharkey, 20, of 76 Beaver River Rd., Richmond, was charged on Aug. 14 with public drinking and possession of an alcoholic beverage by an underage person after police allegedly saw him drinking beer.
Sharkey is the son of Charlestown Police Chief Thomas J. Sharkey.
• Justin Leger, 24, of 135 Sharp Hill Rd., Uncasville, Conn., was charged on Aug. 14 with disorderly conduct for allegedly urinating in public.
• Mason T. Burton, 18, of 471 Main St., South Kingstown, was charged on Aug. 15 with possession of an alcoholic beverage by an underage person after police allegedly saw him with a bottle of wine.
• Jedadiah Ford, 20, of 14B Uncle Sams Lane, South Kingstown, was charged on Aug. 15 with possession of an alcoholic beverage by an underage person after police allegedly saw him with a bottle of rum.
• Holly Coelho, 26, of Michaels Lane, Tiverton was charged on Aug. 15 with public drinking.
• Kenneth Meinhold, 47, of 16 Ferri Drive, Waterford, Conn., was charged on Aug. 16 with possession of marijuana and public drinking.
• Frederick Levesque, 48, of 447 Beach Pond Rd., Voluntown, Conn., was charged on Aug. 16 with possession of marijuana and public drinking.
• Allison O’Shea, 23, of 80 Sprague St., East Providence, was charged on Aug. 16 with possession of marijuana after she was allegdly seen smoking the marijuana.
• Frederick L. Steadman, 24, of 75 Berkley St., Providence, was charged on Aug. 16 with public drinking.
• A 17-year-old Jamestown girl, whose name police did not release because she is a minor, was charged on Aug. 16 with possession of an alcoholic beverage by an underage person after police allegedly saw her with liquor. She was released to her parents’ custody.
• Nikole Soubliere, 25, of 222 Recruit Run, Coventry, was charged on Aug. 16 with public drinking.
• Two 17-year-old boys from North Kingstown, whose identities police also did not release because they are minors, were charged on Aug. 16 with possession of an alcoholic beverage by an underage person after police allegedly saw them with liquor.
• Shann Gooding, 19, of 10 Holly Drive, Westerly and a 15-year-old Hope Valley boy were charged on Aug. 16 with assault and battery for allegedly punching a 19-year-old man, whose name police did not release.
The 15-year-old was released to his parents’ custody.
A day later, Gooding was charged with trespassing on the fairgrounds for returning after he was told to leave.
• Benjamin Mulrath, 26, of 256 Shannock Hill Rd., Richmond, was charged on Aug. 16 with public drinking.
• Michael Earle, 24, of 196 Cameron St., Pawtucket, was charged on Aug. 16 with public drinking.
• James C. Sweet Jr., 39, of 1306 Hill Farm Rd., Coventry, was charged on Aug. 17 with public drinking.
• Thomas Campbell, 27, of 125 Lincoln St., North Kingstown was arrested on Aug. 17 on an outstanding warrant for domestic assault and battery.
• James M. Pratt, 43, of 64 Juniper Road, South Kingstown was charged on Aug. 17, with public drinking.
CHARGED AFTER motor vehicle stops on Kingstown Road:
• Frank Hyde, 48, of 401 Fairview Ave., Coventry was charged on Aug. 13 with driving on a suspended license.
Hyde, a Coventry councilman, said he didn’t know his license was suspended and was delivering a guitar to be auctioned off at the fair.
• Alicia L. Wright, 19, of 55 New London Turnpike, Richmond, was charged on Aug. 13 with driving on a suspended license.
• Patricia M. Suzel, 23, of 48 Third St., Newport, was charged on Aug. 14 with driving with an expired license.
• Dawn M. Dawson, 44, of 17 Sand Hill Rd., Charlestown was charged on Aug. 16 with driving on an expired license.
