Health screenings and flu clinic: Free health screenings and a flu clinic are scheduled for today from 2:30 to 4:30 pm at South Providence Neighborhood Ministries, 747 Broad St.

The diabetes support groups in English and Spanish will meet from 1 to 2 p.m. with Family Van staff and Dr. Esperanza Gomez.

Public forum: Providence Mayor David M. Cicilline and the National Council of Jewish Women, Rhode Island Section, are sponsoring a forum on the global problem of human trafficking today at 7 p.m. in the Providence Marriot, One Orms St.

Film festival: A coalition of Brown University student groups and departments including Amnesty International, Hillel, UNICEF and the president’s office will host Brown’s second annual Human Rights Film Festival from Thursday through Sunday.

Six films will be screened.

The schedule:

Thursday, 9 p.m. — Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist David Turnley and Boston Globe photojournalist Bill Greene will speak on the power of media in activism. List Art Building, Room 120.

Friday, 8 p.m. — Screening of Deadline (death penalty in the U.S.) followed by discussion with Phyllis Goldfarb, Boston College law professor. MacMillan Hall, Room 117.

Saturday, 2 p.m. — Screening of Favela Rising (international drug trade) followed by discussion with filmmaker Jeff Zimbalist. Salomon Center, Room 001.

Saturday, 4:30 p.m. — Screening of Lord of War (international arms trade). Salomon Center, Room 001.

Saturday, 7 p.m. — Guy Jacobson, founder of Priority Films, and Jesse Sage, former executive director of the American Anti-Slavery Group, will speak on human trafficking. Salomon Center, Room 001

Sunday, 2 p.m. — Screening of State of Denial (AIDS in South Africa) followed by panel on medicine and human rights in Africa. Salomon Center, Room 001.

Sunday, 4: 30 p.m. — Screening of Black Gold (exploitation of Ethiopian coffee farmers) followed by discussion with Erbin Crowell, domestic fair trade manager for equal exchange.

Brown University Orchestra: The orchestra will perform works by Bernstein, Williams, Lehar and other American and Viennese favorites, directed by Paul Phillips, on Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m. in Sayles Hall.

General admission is $10; $5 for students. Tickets are available at the Orwig Music Building, One Young Orchard Ave., or at the door one hour before the performance.

Performance at Food Bank: Bill Harley, a songwriter, entertainer, author and children’s performer, with Len Cabral and Keith Munslow, will perform on Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Ave.

Ticket sales, including proceeds from the sales of books and recordings, will benefit the Food Bank.

Alan Shawn Feinstein has offered the Food Bank a challenge grant to encourage parents and children to attend the performance. Feinstein will match each ticket sold, dollar for dollar, donating an extra $10 for each ticket sold, up to a total of $10,000.
