PROVIDENCE — A Ronzio pizza delivery man was robbed in Wanskuck on Sunday night — but all the robbers got were two large pizzas and 20 chicken wings
Robert A. Carcieri, 43, of North Providence, who works for the Ronzio store at 35 Smithfield Rd., North Providence, told the police that he was making a delivery to 20 West Drive between 7 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. when two men accosted him. One man, who wielded a knife, had a white cloth over his face and the second man covered his face with his hand, Carcieri said.
“Just give your money. Just give your money,” the knife-wielder barked at him, Carcieri related to the police. Instead, Carcieri threw his delivery bag containing two large pizzas and 20 chicken wings at the robber, ran to his parked car on nearby Admiral Street, and drove away unharmed.
The police later found the delivery bag, empty, in a large trash disposal container near 40 West Drive.
