Exhibit: The gallery at City Hall will have an opening reception today for its exhibit of the paintings of Mike Bryce, an adjunct professor at the Community College of Rhode Island and the Art Institute in Boston.
The opening will be from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The gallery is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Gift Fest at Moses Brown School: The annual Gift Fest at Moses Brown School will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Waughtel-Howel Field House. The event, sponsored by the Parents’ Association, will feature New England boutique and shop vendors. More than 50 vendors will participate, offering clothing, accessories, jewelry and bead creations, glassware, carpets, mats, vases, linens, candles, bath accessories and decorations, toys and games and gourmet teas, coffees and spices.
The Gift Fest café, run by the Gatehouse Restaurant, will offer food and ice cream.
Proceeds from Gift Fest will benefit faculty enrichment and student scholarships.

Annual dinner: The Rhode Island Hispanic Officers Association will hold its seventh annual dinner gala Saturdayat 6 p.m. at Rhodes on the Pawtuxet, Cranston.
Entertainment will be provided by Alexander and his orchestra.
Tickets are $45.
