Grace Church: The church at 275 Westminster St. will display sections of The Global AIDS Quilt tonight and continuing through Friday, Dec. 1, World AIDS Day. Tonight’s event begins at 5, and a Compline service will be sung by the Grace Church choir at 7 p.m. A reception will follow.

The quilt is a multicultural tapestry expressing love and loss made in memory and tribute to those who have died of AIDS. The panels displayed this year are from Africa, Asia and Latin America.

The quilt will be on from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, except Thanksgiving Day. It will end with the celebration of the U2 Eucharist with the music of the rock band. For information, call (401) 331-3225.

Central Congregational Church: The church at 296 Angell St. will present a Thanksgiving service with choir, brass and organ Sunday at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Rebecca L. Spencer will preach. Preludes begin at 10:10 a.m.

A free-will offering will be received during the service.

Interfaith Thanksgiving service: An interfaith service, sponsored by the East Side Clergy Association and hosted by St. Martin Episcopal Church and Temple Beth-el, will be held Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at St. Martin Church, 50 Orchard Ave.

The speaker will be Teny Gross, executive director of The Center for the Study and Practice of Non-Violence.

The event will feature adult and children’s choirs, Thanksgiving hymns, psalms, prayers and spiritual readings. A collection will be taken to benefit Camp Street Ministries.

St. Michael Church: A feast will be held on Thanksgiving Day from noon to 2 p.m. at the Church of St. Michael the Archangel, 239 Oxford St.

The event is being coordinated with assistance from Amos House, McAuley House and volunteers.

An international Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Donations for the feast and the winter will be accepted.

Healing service: A healing service for people of all faiths who have been touched by AIDS will be held Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. at the Temple Beth-el meeting hall, 70 Orchard Ave.

Presented annually by AIDS Quilt RI and The AIDS Task Force of the Jewish Federation of RI, this is the second year both organizations have blended to mark World AIDS Day.

This year’s theme is “Stop AIDS: Keep the Promise.” AIDS panels will be dedicated and on display during the service.
