An article in Thursday’s East Bay & Massachusetts section of The Providence Journal misstated the annual per-pupil spending in Portsmouth relative to eight other districts used for comparison by Berkshire Advisors in a recently released performance audit. The consultants said Portsmouth spends about $2,000 less than the average per-pupil expenditure in the eight other districts.
